I recently purchased a Yamaha keyboard. I will never again be able to play the piano fluently. However, my reacquaintance with the instrument will hopefully raise new harmonic possibilities for composition.
My style of composing over these many recent years favors the keys of C major, F major, B flat, and E flat. No matter how many flats or sharps I added to the key signature, I often wind up back at C major. Nevertheless, many of my melodies revolve around sus chords and chords with added 9ths, 11ths, and 13ths.
