Autism and The Arts, Page Thirteen

Meet Blender Kitty and Candy Medicine Bear: An introduction to my alternative comic strip, "Blender Kitty," which ran from 1999 to 2015. During its run, it was featured in The New York Press until 2003, and also in college newspapers until 2015.

At times whimsical, poetic, and darkly funny, there was something to confuse (and sometimes amuse) nearly everyone.

Bots or Boredom?: This is my own version of current repackaged information, so—at least in this video—I am part of the problem. Repackage information is the disease of our current culture, and with no place left to go, YouTube will have no choice but to embrace A. I. slop.

Duck Build: My latest time-lapsed creation of a color pencil monster. A duck-billed creature meets a Ford model toy truck.

Autism and Glutamate | Your Best Friend and Worst Enemy: Autistics have a deeply personal relationship with the neurotransmitter glutamate, whether they realize it or not. I discovered this relationship by accident after developing a protracted withdrawal syndrome from benzodiazepines.

I discuss how I recovered through drugs, but mostly through my own exploration for solutions.

Glutamate can be destructive, but, for autistics, it may also function as a kind of antidepressant. I explain how.

Bipolar Molar | Time-Lapsed Drawing: I started by taking one collage element (a pencil drawing) and combining it with another of a monster from my sketchbook to create this mixed media work.
